Here is a very stylish young lady. She is wearing a lot of dress, with bustle. The picture appears to be from the 1870s looking at the dress style and the somewhat simple straw hat she is holding. The image has been enhanced from a CDV (Carte de Visite) I obtained at the Toronto Antique Market. The original image has yellowed somewhat, probably owing to the Albumen process used. These small 2.5inch by 4 inch cards were very popular in the 1870s. Some cameras could take multiple images from a single exposure.
