Noreen

I am not aware of a scientific study on the head size, or shape for various races, in fact gender is also somewhat of a determinant in skull size and shape. Men tend on average to have larger skulls. The matter of race and gender in skull size and shape is noted at
http://www.hatlife.com/headsize.php

Nothing should be inferred about any of this except people's head shapes are different - just input into measuring your hat size.

The important message is that people do not have perfectly round heads as assumed in the formula to determine hat size.

I'm curious about racial differences in head size. Which race has the largest head? The smallest?

Great post, Darla! I look forward to your next blog post.
