Darla Sycamore (Hat Revivalist) lives in Toronto but was born in Luton England. Luton was a centre of Hat Manufacture and her mother was involved in the hat industry. She has a degree in Economics from the London School of Economics and an MBA from York University in Toronto. Darla is a keen student of history. She is nostalgic about hat wearing through the ages. No matter what the weather Darla always wears a hat to go out.

Darla previously wrote a blog on Hat Nostalgia and this blog is the successor to that blog.

The Hat Nostalgia blog was written under a nom de plume (that’s French for an assumed name). It was Alice Dickens on that site and still is during the transition period. “Alice”comes from her favorite book “Alice in Wonderland” and “Dickens” was the great author of all time. Well I guess it could have been “Carroll” as well from Lewis Carroll. As a Brit Darla wanted to sound very British and Alice Dickens seemed to do the trick. She has decided to let it all hang out and share her identity.
